The Show Notes We change things up this week as we help inform the filipino community of Virginia Beach of the re-election efforts of filipino city councilman Ron Villanueva. We conduct a 45 minute interview to help highlight the accomplishments and achievements of Mr. Villanueva's historic first four years of serving on the Virginia Beach City Council and what he has planned should he be re-elected. His efforts to promote filipinos in Virginia Beach have been instrumental in the movement to make the filipino community a recognized voice. Ron emphasizes the importance that the city council has on the community and the possibilities that are created by having a filipino as an elected official.
Our listeners outside of the Virginia Beach area can learn of some of the roles that filipinos have played in the growth of the city and also learn about the attractions of the city.
To all of our Virginia Beach listeners... please remember to vote for Ron Villanueva (and only Ron) on May 2 for Virginia Beach City Council. And while you're there, vote for Lyndon Remias for Virginia Beach School Board.

It has been brought to our attention that many have found some comments that we made during our discussion of Christine Pechera's struggle with cancer and her urgent need for a bone marrow transplant to have been insensitive and disrespectful to Christine and to those leading the effort to enlist greater participation by Filipinos in the National Bone Marrow Registry.
The Sini-Gang is continually striving to provide our audience with a light-hearted, entertaining show. But it was never our intention to detract from the seriousness of Christine's situation or to downplay the importance of encouraging potential donors to come forward. We hope that she is successful in her search. And to this end, we urge all of our listeners to take the time to join the National Registry, and to spread this message to their friends and family.
